Where are you based?
We are online based in Nairobi, Kenya and ship both locally and internationally.
How do I place an order?
Orders are placed through our website by simply selecting your item, add it to your cart and proceed to checkout. Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. For bulk or wholesale orders kindly email at hello@kenainc.com for further assistance.
I didn’t receive an order confirmation, what should I do?
Please check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still can’t find it, feel free to email us hello@kenainc.com and we’ll be happy to help.
What countries do you ship to?
We ship to specific countries with availability displayed at checkout. If your country is on the list, we can ship to you. Our goal is to ship worldwide and we are gradually expanding our zones as we grow. If your country isn't listed yet, please check back soon as we are always working on reaching more places.
How long does shipping take?
Local orders take 1–3 business days after dispatch. International orders take 5–14 business days depending on the destination and customs processing.
Will I have to pay customs or duties for international orders?
Customs duties or taxes may apply depending on your country’s regulations. These charges are not included in your order total and are the responsibility of the customer.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind.
What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?
In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@kenainc.com including clear photos of the issue and we’ll assist you promptly.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are only issued for damaged or incorrect items once the issue has been reviewed and approved.
Can I cancel my order?
After payments, unfortunately orders cannot be cancelled kindly be sure of your purchase when you make an order.
Will the product look exactly like the photos?
We do our best to represent our products accurately. Please note that slight variations in colour may occur due to screen settings and lighting.
Can I personalize products to my liking?
Unfortunately, Kena does not offer customized products due to production limitations, as our products are readily available in bulk inventory, customizing individual pieces is neither logistically possible nor cost effective for either us or you. However if you are a corporate brand or organization and looking into custom designs and products in bulk quantities kindly reach out to us via email at hello@kenainc.com and we will be happy to have a chat.
Are your products handmade or designed by you?
Yes, all Kena products are hand illustrated, designed by our creative director, Makena and carefully produced by talented local craftsmen and women with so much care and intention. Each piece reflects our brand’s love for softness , joy and detail.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
If you would like to explore gift options kindly check our Gift Bundles Collection which by default come in beautifully package ready to gift. However, Most of our individual items are packaged beautifully and make thoughtful gifts.
What is Kena?
Kena is a stationery and lifestyle brand built around the art of gifting, both to others and to yourself. The word Kena is a verb from the Gikuyu language meaning “be happy” and that essentially translates to the sole goal of Kena, to bring joy to you and your loved ones through carefully curated products.
At its heart, Kena is about small joys- the quiet luxury of craftsmanship, the emotional value of a thoughtful gift and the feeling of receiving something that was created just for you .Every product is designed to be gift ready, whether it’s meant for someone special or for you as a gentle reminder to find magic in the small joys of life.
Who is behind Kena?
Kena is founded by Makena, an artist and creative director who has been working within the creative and design industry for 6+ years. She hand illustrates every design and develops Kena product with so much care, seriously she takes it like her life depends on it, well, it probably does.
